The Graduate Tax Program Merit Scholarship

Each admitted applicant is automatically considered for the Graduate Tax Program Merit Scholarship. The scholarship—of up to 50% of total the tuition costs—may be offered to admitted applicants who can demonstrate excellence in their past tax work, exceptional potential for future success in the tax profession, and the prospect of becoming a successful, collegial member of the UCI Law community. Applications completed by January 15 will receive favorable consideration.

Health Insurance and Living Expenses

LL.M. students will be automatically enrolled in the Graduate Student Health Insurance Plan (GSHIP). The approximate cost of GSHIP insurance is $2,000 per semester. Students may opt-out of GSHIP if they show proof of having sufficient health insurance coverage. More information about health insurance can be found on the Student Health Center's website.

Other Financial Aid

Applicants are encouraged to research and apply for outside scholarships to help defray the cost of attending the program. For convenience, we have gathered information about possible outside funding sources here. This list is not exhaustive, and we strongly encourage applicants to conduct their own research and explore funding in their home countries.
