Visit the Law School

J.D. Information Sessions and Tours

To help answer your questions and provide more detailed information about the law school, attending an information session and law school facilities tour or Fall Open House is highly recommended. Reservations are required.

The list of available Fall 2018 dates and times is available on our online reservation system.

Fall Open Houses

Please join us for a Fall Open House, which will be hosted by an Admissions Officer and include a panel of current law school students sharing their experiences with you and answering questions, as well as a tour of the law school.  You may attend one of the Saturday open houses, September 22nd or October 20th or during Thanksgiving Week on Wednesday, November 21st.  Please register on our online reservation system.

Classroom Visits

You may observe a law school class without attending an information session if you wish.  Visiting a class provides a first-hand look at the students, faculty, and learning environment at UCI Law. Classroom visits are only offered during the academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) for prospective students.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to attend a classroom visit, select a date from the list provided below and email us directly at to request a spot.

Tuesday Mornings (Procedural Analysis): Dates: Sept. 11, 18, 25; Oct. 16, 23, 30; Nov. 13.  Time: 9:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Thursday Afternoons (Contracts): Dates: Sept. 20, 27; Oct. 4, 25; Nov. 1, 8, 15. Time: 3:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

In the interest of minimizing disruptions, classroom visits are restricted to prospective students (no guests please) and are scheduled in advance. We are not able to accommodate drop-ins. Please remember this visit is to observe and only enrolled first-year law students are allowed to participate in the class discussion. You will be asked to leave the class if you do not comply.

Once your appointment has been confirmed, you are required to arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start of your selected class. Late arrivals will not be able to join the class (no exceptions).

Please note: LL.M. prospective students should email to arrange an appointment.
