Welcome to UCI School of Law! We are excited to have you join our community. Orientation is an introduction to your classmates, faculty, and other members of the law school family. It is also the beginning of your legal education, with a substantive program that will form the basis for a terrific experience here. Orientation is mandatory for all first year J.D. students.

Orientation Schedule
The 2025 Orientation Schedule will be posted in July. Feel free to see the 2024 Orientation Schedule if you would like an idea of how the week might look. Orientation will begin on Monday, August 11 at the Continuing Education Building Courtyard (please see map for directions) at 2:30pm.
*UCI Law has water fill stations. We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

Our Student Life website has a wealth of information on UCI Law’s student-centered services, ways to get involved, local resources (grocery stores, dry cleaners, etc.), and University and Law School policies.

- Orientation (mandatory): Monday, August 11 through Friday, August 15.
- Mid-Semester Review Week: Monday, October 6 through Friday, October 10.
- Reading Period: Monday, December 1 through Thursday, December, 4.
- Exam Period: Friday, December 5 through Wednesday, December 17.
