Background:

Ron Irick is the Deputy General Counsel of Panasonic Avionics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation headquartered in Osaka, Japan.  Ron is responsible for the full range of corporate matters including complex international contracts, technology and development agreements, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.  He has specialized expertise in government contracting, aviation and space law and mergers and acquisitions.

Ron received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in business and economics from Augusta University (1980), a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California (1984), a Master of Science in Management (Acquisition and Contract Management) from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California (1993), and a Juris Doctor from University of San Diego School of Law (1994).  Ron has been an in-house counsel for over 20 years, primarily in global technology companies such as Qualcomm Incorporated and Lantronix, Inc.  In addition, he is a retired military officer, U.S. Government Contracting Officer, and served as Director, Western Region, Contracting Office.  Ron was also a Professor of Contracts at the Defense Acquisition University located in San Diego, California, where he taught introductory, intermediate and advanced specialized course in contracts.
