Background:
Jeffrey I. Golden is a founding partner of the bankruptcy boutique law firm of Weiland Golden Goodrich LLP, a federal and state court receiver, and a bankruptcy trustee of the Central District of California, Santa Ana Division. He is also taught bankruptcy as an adjunct professor at UCI Law School. He has been involved in numerous cases as trustee and as an attorney representing Chapter 11 debtors in possession, creditors’, committees, secured and unsecured creditors and other bankruptcy trustees and receivers. He is currently Co-Editor in Chief of the California Bankruptcy Journal which is distributed nationally. He received the Judge Peter M. Elliott Award in 2008 for outstanding scholarship, ethics and contributions from the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and the Judge Calvin Ashland Award for Trustee of the year by the CDBCAA in 2013. He graduated from USC Law School in 1987 and clerked for Judges Peter Elliot and Calvin Ashland. He was past President of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum. He is on the Central District Mediation Panel, a past co-chair for the Ninth Circuit Lawyer Representatives and past Chair for the California State Bar Security Fund Commission (victim restitution).
