Admitted Students Weekend

Registration
Any admitted student who would like to attend ASW, whether one day or both, must register in advance. The deadline to register is Monday, April 6, 2026. Space is limited so we encourage you to register early.
Agenda
ASW consists of two full days of programming and networking opportunities. Attending will give you an opportunity to fully immerse yourself into the UC Irvine Law Experience. During the weekend, you'll interact with faculty, learn about our experiential learning opportunities, including clinics and our pro bono program, and hear from current students so that you can get a glimpse of what it could be like if you choose to enroll at UC Irvine Law. The 2026 agenda link is available to admitted students within the Paperless Post invitation. The agenda includes:
- Moot Court competition finals
- Mock class led by Dean Austen Parrish
- Panel discussions on experiential learning, curriculum, and career development
- Programming for your co-decision makers
- Faculty-led discussion
Travel Stipend
We recognize that attending an event like this has a cost associated with it. To help facilitate your visit, we have a travel stipend program to help defray some of the travel costs. The travel stipend is a reimbursement up to $300 for airfare or hotel accommodations only. To be approved for a travel stipend, you must:
- Register for ASW; and
- Submit a travel stipend request form; and
- Be an admitted student to our J.D. program; and
- Travel more than 100 miles one-way; and
- Attend at least one full day of our ASW program.
Before applying, we encourage you to review thoroughly our policies and application instructions. The deadline to apply for a travel stipend is Friday, April 3, 2026.

Financial Aid Counseling During ASW
The Office of Student Financial Services, led by Director Nasreen Zia and Assistant Director Jennifer Terrazas, offers personalized support with loan counseling, aid eligibility, debt management workshops, and online tools.
In addition to the regularly scheduled ASW programming, admitted students also have the option to set up an appointment with the Student Financial Services Office. This is an excellent opportunity to discuss questions regarding obtaining California residency, the Federal Direct Loan program, private student loans, housing, budgeting, and the UC Irvine Law Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP).

Disability Accommodations
To request reasonable accommodations based on disability to participate in any of our admitted student’s events, please contact the Admissions Team as soon as possible at admissions@law.uci.edu. UC Irvine Law will certainly consider all requests, but accommodation requests received after April 3, 2026 may not provide enough time to put accommodations into place in a timely manner for these events.
Current Student Testimonials
Our students often say that it was ASW that convinced them to attend UC Irvine Law. Here are just a few of our students speaking about their ASW experience.
“ASW is an amazing place to connect and meet new people! It creates a safe place to meet other admitted students, ask questions, interact with staff while having fun!”
–Esther Esho, Class of 2025
“When I visited UCI Law, even though I could only attend ASW for one day, I was filled with a sense of possibility and hope for the future. I felt cared for by staff and faculty. The current students and other admitted students were so welcoming and inclusive, without any pretense. I was motivated…I am eternally grateful to say that everything I felt the first day I visited has remained true and, in many ways, I've been supported by an even friendlier and more optimistic environment than I imagined.”
–Kristin Henry, Class of 2026
