Meet Elizabeth:
Hello! I’m a 3L at UC Irvine Law and a first-generation college and law student, pursuing employment law. Before law school, I studied History and Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan, worked in marketing for nonprofits, and volunteered at organizations serving refugee families.

I came into law school convinced that I wanted to be an immigration attorney, but my 1L summer in immigration law pushed me to explore other options. Since then, I have worked with small businesses and nonprofits through Inland Counties Legal Services' Small Business Clinic and UC Irvine Law’s Community Economic Development Clinic, and conducted employment law research with SNU as a 2025 spring break project. I spent my 2L summer at a regional corporate firm in the private employment and labor practice group, which I will continue working at during 3L and post-BAR.

My path to employment law was not linear, and that has taught me a lot about being open to new opportunities and not feeling pressured to have every part of law school or a legal career figured out immediately. As a queer Asian immigrant, I also care deeply about helping students navigate professional spaces while remaining authentic to themselves. I'm eager to share what has made UC Irvine Law feel supportive and be an honest resource to prospective students as they consider their own paths to law school/career.
