IRVINE, Calif. (July 11, 2023) — The University of California, Irvine School of Law (UCI Law) is proud to announce that Chaeyoung (Clara) Baik, a rising second-year law student at UCI Law, was awarded the 2023 Hon. Arthur Nakazato Memorial Scholarship by the Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA).
“I am grateful for the generosity of OCAABA in awarding me this scholarship, which not only serves as an investment in my legal education but also as motivation to continue to diligently work towards my professional goals and serve my community,” said Baik.
Created in honor of OCAABA’s Founding President, Hon. Arthur Nakazato (ret.), who passed away in December 2017, the $2,000 memorial scholarship recognizes outstanding law students who demonstrate leadership in the Asian Pacific American community and have the potential to be future leaders in the legal profession in the Orange County community.
