Summer Kim to be honored by OC Korean American Bar Association
Prof. Summer Kim will be presented with the Trailblazer Award from the Orange County Korean American Bar Association at the group's annual Installation Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 20. The Orange County Korean American Bar Association annually honors those who have paved the way for Asian Americans and created opportunities that generations before them did not have.
Prof. Kim’s scholarship examines how financial innovations outpace governing laws and regulations, and her work aims to close these gaps. Her recent research projects have focused on the regulation of leveraged loans and the private equity model of corporate ownership.
In addition to her scholarship, Prof. Kim is Director of UCI Law's Korea Law Center.
The Orange County Korean American Bar Association will also honor John Chiang, California State Treasurer.
