Hon. Dorothy C. Kim is a judge on the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, where she is assigned to handle criminal matters. She was appointed to the bench in December 2013, by Governor Brown. From 2001 to 2013, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California, including as the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division. She was a litigation associate at Irell & Manella LLP and law clerk to the Hon. Norman H. Stahl, Court of Appeals, First Circuit. Judge Kim grew up in Los Angeles before earning her BA at Cornell University and JD from Columbia University.
