The Environmental Law Clinic recently joined 50 other law clinics across the world to participate in the Climate Justice Pledge Global Day of Action, a coordinated effort by student law clinics to promote greater awareness of climate change and climate justice issues.

Students in the UCI Environmental Law Clinic focused on anti-idling (air emissions from idling/stationary cars, buses and trucks) by tabling on campus and asking peers to pledge not to idle their vehicles for more than 10 seconds. More than 100 students, faculty and staff signed the pledge. Students also provided educational materials on how to reduce their carbon footprint and used a CalEnviroScreen 3.0 to inform students about environmental justice.
