Competitions Overview

Upper level law students have the opportunity to practice their lawyering skills through competitions involving negotiation, moot court, and mock trial.

Moot Court

Second- and third-year law students have the opportunity to compete in the intra-school UCI Law Moot Court Program, in which students write their briefs in teams of two, but argue as individuals. Additionally, UCI Law sends send teams to national and international competitions.

 

Jessup Moot Court

Second- and third-year law students have the opportunity to compete in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the world’s largest moot court competition.
