Access is restricted to members of the UCI community at this time.

The Law Library is only open to members of the UCI Law community.* Some exceptions for certain visitors apply - see below for details. Contact the Access and Student Services Law Librarian with questions about visiting the library.

*UCI Law keycards and/or current UCI Law ID cards are required for entering the Law Library.

Visitor Passes

The Law Library has a limited number of visitor passes available to current non-law UCI students with legal research need.

What is a "legal research need"?

A need to use books or databases unique to the Law Library's collection.

UCI graduate and undergraduate students should note that Langson has a large collection of legal material to support criminology, social ecology, and other related programs.

What kind of identification do I need to bring?

Visitors must exchange a valid UCI ID for a visitor pass at the Front Desk.

Are there times when visitor passes are not available?

Yes. We're closed to visitors during orientation, exam periods, and some special events. However, passes are usually available when the Law Library is open. See the UCI Law Academic Calendar for more information about Law School holidays and breaks.

UCI Faculty & Staff

UCI faculty and staff from other departments are welcome to use the Law Library during normal hours.
