UCI Law Graduates Brooke Weitzman and Christina Zabat-Fran Honored with the 2022 ADL’s Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Award

Award bestowed on attorneys who make outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the community.

UCI Law graduates Brooke Weitzman, Co-Founder and CEO, Elder Law & Disability Rights Center (UCI Law ’14), and Christina M. Zabat-Fran, Global General Counsel, St. John (UCI Law ’12), have been chosen by the Orange County/Long Beach region of the Anti-Defamation League to receive the 2022 ADL’s Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Award. Phil Kohn, partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, will also receive the award. The award ceremony will be held at the ADL annual Jurisprudence Dinner on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Turnip Rose Promenade in Costa Mesa.   

Congratulations to Brooke, Christina and Phil on this well-deserved award bestowed on attorneys “who make outstanding contributions to the legal profession and to the community … are role models in the legal community and exemplify the ADL’s mission.” Past recipients of the Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Award affiliated with UCI Law include UCI Law Founding Dean Erwin Chemerinsky, and members of the UCI Law Board of Visitors: Hon.
