    Laura Baker previously practiced environmental justice law for the Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment representing underserved communities in the San Joaquin Valley. Prior to that she was a Presidential Management Fellow for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the Office of Transportation and Air Quality; completed a detail assignment with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; interned with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Environment and Natural Resources Division; and started her own outdoor adventure business, Ethos Adventures LLC. She received her J.D. and Master of Studies in Environmental Laws from Vermont Law School where she was voted Class Marshall, and received her B.A. cum laude in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.

    Betsy Gutting came to UC Irvine School of Law with a background as a lawyer career counselor and leader of career satisfaction seminars for attorneys. Prior to founding her own consulting practice, she clerked for the Honorable Susan R. Agid in the Washington State Court of Appeals. She interned for Reed McClure and Buck & Gordon in Seattle, as well as Goulston and Storrs and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights in Boston. Betsy received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. with high honors in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.

    Beth Maoui previously practiced corporate law for O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Newport Beach, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in New York, and Chadbourne & Parke LLP in New York.  As a corporate attorney, Beth represented clients in corporate securities transactions and mergers and acquisitions; and on an ongoing basis, she provided advice on corporate law and securities law issues, including corporate governance matters. Beth received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal, and her B.A. in Political Science from Columbia College, Columbia University.

    Caleb Sullivan previously practiced in the Washington, D.C. and Miami offices of White & Case LLP, where he litigated international trade disputes before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, Mexico's Secretaría de Economía, and the World Trade Organization. He interned at the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations Secretariat in New York, and with the Political Affairs Section of the U.S. Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. He received his LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, where he specialized in public international law and human rights. He received his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and his A.B. from Grinnell College. He is professionally proficient in Spanish.

    Elexus Harris comes to UC Irvine School of Law having worked in student services as an undergraduate at California State University San Marcos. As a student she assisted with orientation, residence life, and event planning. In 2015, Elexus graduated with a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Women’s Studies and is currently working on a Master’s degree.
