Changes to Law Library 24/7 space: During Spring Reading and Exam periods (April 20 – May 5), after hours library access will be available on the 2nd floor instead of the California Room. Law Students must present their UCI ID to remain on the 2nd floor after hours. Speak to Law Library staff for more information.
Jessup International Law Moot Court Team: Apply and join the world's largest moot court competition and compete against other law schools. Four new team members will be selected. Application deadline is May 29th.

3Ls: ABA 3L Week: From April 17th to April 23rd, ABA will be celebrating 3Ls and their accomplishments as they reach the end of their law school journey with a series of live and recorded webinars and resources that aim to prepare them for the bar exam, the job search, and life after law school. 3Ls who sign up for their first pre-bar lawyer membership during 3L week will receive a free bar prep care package and have the chance to winning one of several gift cards up to $500, as well as one grand prize drawing of a travel package to attend the ABA Annual Meeting on August 2nd-8th in Denver, Colorado. Student Lockers: This is a friendly reminder that lockers on floors 3rd and 4th of MPAA must be vacated by Friday, May 12th. Lockers are used for Summer programs so all personal belongings and locks must be removed. You will not be assigned the same locker when you return in August. Locks will be cut off and contents will be disposed of after May 12th. If you have any questions or cannot remember your lock combination, please contact Debbie Mondares.

Grand Re-opening: UCI Basic Needs Center: Students are invited to their new location (800 West Peltason Drive) on Tuesday, April 11th from 11:00am to 1:00pm! 2023 James E. Beckley Securities Arbitration and Law Competition: This annual event invites law students from across the U.S. to submit law review quality articles on legal matters and issues related to protecting investors. First prize is $1,500, second prize is $1,000 and third prize is $750. Additional information can be found here.
Equal Justice Works: Regional Public Interest Awards: Eight students throughout the country will be chosen to receive a Regional Public Interest Award for their innovation, impact, and commitment to public interest law. The California Asian-Pacific American Judges Association (CAPAJA) is proud to give scholarships ($1,500 each) this year to law students who are serving or intend to serve as a judicial clerk/intern/extern in California and share CAPAJA’s mission to promote diversity in the legal profession, improve the administration of justice, and ensure access and fairness for all who use the courts. 2Ls: Mike Edison Law Student Scholarship: The Women Trail Lawyers Caucus awards a $5,000 scholarship to a female student entering her third year who has demonstrated a commitment to a career as a trial lawyer. The winner will receive a registration and travel stipend to attend the AAJ Annual Convention. Application deadline is May 1st.
ABA LGBT Public Interest Scholarship: The SOGI Commission is now accepting applications through April 28th for Summer and Fall 2023! This scholarship is intended for law students and/or recent law school graduates studying for the Bar who are either LGBTQ+ or who will be working in the LGBTQ+ space doing public interest work. One or more scholarships of up to $5000 each are awarded annually. Further information about the application process can be found here.
The Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA): Fran Kandel Public Interest Fellowship: This fellowship enables law students to work with an organization or individually to develop and implement a project in the field of public interest law. Each Fellow may receive up to $6,000, which is intended to cover project expenses and provide a stipend. Applications are due by 5:00pm on April 14th.
