Rising 2Ls & 3Ls: All Rise News: In response to community interest, the Law Library is piloting a subscription to All Rise News, an independent source of legal news and analysis. This pilot will help the library evaluate the feasibility of subscribing to these new types of resources. Please note that the number of subscriptions is limited for the remaining six months of the pilot. Subscriptions will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Kentucky Defender Career Fest | Fall of 2026: Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, October 24: The KY Department of Public Advocacy, the statewide public defender system in Kentucky, is making early employment offers to 3L students at their in-person Career Fest. For those selected to attend the Career Fest, DPA will cover the costs of travel, hotel, and meals. To apply, fill out the Career Fest application and email your resume and a brief cover letter describing your interest in public defender work to dpacareers@ky.gov. The priority deadline is August 14, 2026.
Know Your Rights: Refer to the information in this Know Your Rights guide provided by UCOP for immigrant legal services. Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210). The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
