The Other Bar: Supporting Recovery in the Legal Community: 3rd Wednesday of each month, 8:00pm-9:00pm, Virtual: This is a network of recovering lawyers, judges, and law students throughout the state, dedicated to assisting others within the legal profession who are suffering from alcohol and substance abuse problems. Celtic Bar Association: 3rd Tuesday of each month, 5:30pm-7:30pm, Muldoon's Irish Pub: The CBA brings together members of the legal community who share an interest in Celtic heritage and traditions. You do not need to be of Celtic descent to join. Law students may join at no cost. St. Patrick's Day falls on the third Tuesday this month so the next meeting will take place on March 24. Register to attend the meeting.
Western States Prosecution Team Career Fair: March 3, 9:00am-12:00pm, Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law: This career fair provides law students the opportunity to connect with prosecution offices across Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. Students will be able to explore career paths and submit resumes for internships and post-grad positions. Register for the event.
Public Investors Advocate Bar Association: James E. Beckley Law Student Scholarship Contest: First place receives $1,500, second place receives $1,000, and third place receives $750. Apply by March 27 at 2:00pm.
Know Your Rights: Refer to the information in this Know Your Rights guide provided by UCOP for immigrant legal services. Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210). The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
