(1Ls) Game Night + Outline Toolkit Workshop: Monday, October 27, 6pm – 8pm, MPR at the Community Center in Campus Housing: Take a break from law school and join your Community Fellows for a Game Night + Outline Toolkit session! Come hang out, grab food, and learn practical strategies for building your outlines before finals. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining what you already have, this is a great way to connect with classmates and pick up tips that’ll make your studying smoother. UCI Third Annual Día de los Muertos 2025 CelebrationMonday, November 3, 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Irvine Barclay Theatre: Join us for live music, Aztec and folkloric dance, face painting, sugar skulls, free food and a community alter (physical and digital) - Share a photo and a dedication (up to 100 words) of your loved one by emailing secomm@uci.edu with “altar” in the subject line. America's Next Top Trial Lawyer: This virtual online advocacy competition organized by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office and UCLA School of Law will award monetary prizes to students judged to submit the best closing argument. Participants can choose whether to submit an argument on behalf of prosecution or defense. Students selected to participate will receive a fact pattern on November 25.  Register here.

OCWLA Foundation Bar Stipends:   The OCWLA Foundation is pleased to provide $1,000 Bar Stipend Awards to worthy law students about to take the bar exam. The award is given to the student(s) that best exemplifies the mission of OCWLA, and a commitment to scholarship, community service, advancement of women or women’s issues, financial need, and to Orange County, California. Apply by November 20, 2025 for a February 2026 bar stipend.  Apply by April 20, 2026 for a July 2025 bar stipend.

Judicial Outreach Law Student Webinar:  Moral Character: A Critical Component of Fitness for Admission to the CA State Bar and in the Practice of Law:  Wednesday, November 5, 2025, 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm, Virtual.  Please join the CA Judges Association’s Judicial Outreach Committee for an engaging panel discussion on the moral character component of admission to the State Bar of CA and beyond the attorney oath. 10th Annual Special Needs Planning Symposium - Trisha Friedeberg Scholarship: February 5-7, 2026; Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa, CA. The Trisha Friedeberg Scholarship offers full financial support to attend the symposium. Apply by Friday, November 21. Interested applicants should email the following materials to Kevin@Urbatsch.com:

  • A resume or CV
  • A one-page personal statement describing their interest in special needs or conservatorship law and why they wish to attend the Symposium

Become an Admissions Ambassador: Ready to help mentor the next generation of law school students? Admissions Ambassadors meet with prospective students to answer questions about what law school is like and share their experience from the application process. Whether it's volunteering for a panel, a tour, or a law fair, your expertise as a current law student can make the difference for a prospective one. Complete this form by October 31 to apply. 

CAREER FAIR

1Ls: Summer Associate Hub IP Virtual Interview Program: January 30, 2026: This program is open to current 1Ls (Class of 2028) with a technical degree (based on USPTO Patent Bar eligibility) interested in practicing patent law and seeking summer associate openings for 1L Summer in 2026 and/or 2L Summer in 2027. Register here ASAP, as registration is on a rolling basis.

Know Your Rights: Refer to the information in this Know Your Rights guide provided by UCOP for immigrant legal services. Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210).  The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
