UCI Law in NYC Sixth Annual Summer Program: This non-credit program is for students who are interested in exploring career paths in New York. Registration is required for events. RSVP for any or all of the summer events below:

2025 M. Katherine Baird Darmer Equality Scholarship: Orange County Lavendar Bar Association is awarding a scholarship of up to $5,000 at their annual Anniversary Event on July 16, 2025 to an academically qualified law student who has demonstrated commitment to advancing equality for the LGBTQ+ community in Orange County. Prior awardees have included UCI Law School students. Application deadline is June 2, 2025. Review website for eligibility criteria and required application materials.
Project Youth OC Annual Fundraiser: Friday, June 30, 5:30-8:30pm: This summer event at The MET in Costa Messa is the perfect way to kick back with friends, family, and colleagues, while making a difference in the lives of local youth. Rising 2Ls: Early Interview Week (EIW) Updates:
- EIW Bidding is now open. Additional details can be found in Dean Deol's email on 5/12. Deadline for EIW Bidding is 5pm on Wednesday, May 28.
- Mock Interview Program, May 29 to June 10, between 8:00am and 6:00pm: CDO highly encourages students to participate in this virtual program. Register for a specific timeslot in the events section in LEO by the following deadlines:
- Tuesday, May 27 at 2:00pm for mock interviews for May 29 and May 30
- Friday, May 30 at 2:00pm for mock interviews for June 2–6
- Friday, June 6 at 2:00pm for mock interviews for June 9 and June 10
American Association for Justice (AAJ) Summer Convention Scholarship: NPLA and AAJ are partnering to provide scholarships for law students to attend AAJ's annual convention in San Francisco from July 18-22. Membership is required to apply and application deadline is May 30.
CAREER FAIRS
Rising 2Ls: Boston Lawyers Group Annual 2L Job Fair: Tuesday, June 17; Virtual: Deadline to register materials is Tuesday, May 20 at 11:59pm.
Rising 2Ls: Bay Area Law Student Career Fair: July 10-11; Virtual: Deadline to register for the event is Friday, May 30.
Rising 2Ls: Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair: July 28-30; New York, NY: Membership is required for free conference attendance. Registration details here.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Rising 2Ls: UC Irvine Law Public Service Scholarship is now open. Public Service Scholars are awarded an increase of up to $50,000 on their current UC Irvine Law Scholarship. The selected recipient will be notified between July 1-15, 2025, of their selection and will have one (1) week to accept the award. Application deadline is June 11. Any questions regarding the programs, responsibilities, and other benefits that go along with being selected as a Law Scholars should be directed to Anna Davis. Any questions about the scholarship funding should be directed to Nasreen Zia. And any questions about the application process can be directed to Liam Gillen.
Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA) - Student Opportunities: Scholars will be announced in early June and awarded $2,000 at the OCAABA's Installation Dinner on July 10. Applications must be submitted by May 27.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bar Licensure Planning: ASP strongly recommends students review the 2L Bar Licensure Overview or 3L Bar Licensure Planning Guide that explains how UCI's law school curriculum overlaps with what will be tested on the bar exam. You may also view a list of courses helpful for bar prep here. See email sent on 05/14 from Academic Skills Program for more details.
Become an Admissions Ambassador: Ready to help mentor the next generation of law school students? Admissions Ambassadors meet with prospective students to answer questions about what law school is like and share their experience from the application process. Whether it's volunteering for a panel, a tour, or a law fair, your expertise as a current law student can make the difference for a prospective one. Please fill out the Admissions Ambassador form by June 28 to apply.
UC Irvine Law Review - Student Notes/Comments: UC Irvine Law Review is soliciting student notes and comments for themes on the upcoming Issues 16.3 & 16.4. Deadline to submit notes or comments is Monday, June 16 at 11:59pm. See email from Dr. Jones on 05/15 for submission details and contact information.
Pro Bono Certificates: Certificate pick up is available outside MPAA 224-A. If you did not request a certificate, but would like one or changes made to one, email Noreen Heyari (heyarin@uci.edu).
Lost and Found: Visit the Dean's Suite's front desk Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm for any items that you might have lost throughout the year. Unclaimed items will be donated after Friday, May 23.
Know Your Rights: Please refer to the information in this Know Your Rights guide provided by UCOP for immigrant legal services. Copies have been posted on the student bulletin boards within the Law School and pocket/wallet-sized cards are available for pickup in the Student Affairs and Student Services Suite (MPAA 210). The suite also has red cards available from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
