Dorothy E. Roberts Public Interest Essay Competition: This competition is a national writing competition for student-authored articles on the topic of social justice and public interest law. The winner will receive a $5,000 grant to implement a public interest project related to the article and a $1,000 cash prize! Deadline to submit articles is February 15th. The Honorable Richard M. Neiter Summer Bankruptcy Fellowship & Externship Fund: This fellowship and externship fund is intended to promote diversity in bankruptcy practice and provide financial assistance to law students who have been selected to do a full-time externship with a bankruptcy judge in the Central District of CA for the summer. Bankruptcy Judges are still accepting applications for the summer externships and usually hire into February. The deadline to apply for this incredible opportunity is the March 31st!
Mock Trail Intramural Competition: Register to compete in the Mock Trial Intramural Competition here! The competition will be hosted at the law school on February 24th thru February 26th and finals will take place on March 17th thru March 19th. All 2L and 3L students are eligible to participate as attorneys.
