Dean Erwin Chemerinsky's Moot Court
In Preparation for U.S. Supreme Court Argument

Coffee and pastries with the Dean will be offered from 11 a.m.11:45 a.m. in LAW 3500.
Lunch will be provided.

Dean Chemerinsky will prepare for his pending argument before the U.S. Supreme Court in U.S. v. John Dennis Apel with a moot court. Apel is a First Amendment case involving the right to protest outside a military base. You are invited to be part of a select group of observers who will watch Dean Chemerinsky rehearse his oral argument and prepare for his Supreme Court appearance.

 

The case was argued (and won) in the 9th Circuit by two UCI Law students enrolled in UCI Law’s Appellate Litigation Clinic and supervised by Dean Chemerinsky.  The government appealed. The case will be argued in Washington, D.C., before the nation’s highest court, on December 4, 2013. Read more »
