Background:

Samrah Mahmoud is a Partner at Troutman Pepper in Orange County office. Mahmoud’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in state and federal court where she represents clients in areas including class action defense, insurance coverage, healthcare, real estate disputes, and antitrust. Mahmoud has represented clients at all stages of proceedings including at trial and on appeal.

She has significant experience litigating in both federal and state court, particularly in Southern California. After law school, Mahmoud clerked for the Honorable Josephine L. Staton of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Mahmoud graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. She was a member of the school's inaugural class and a senior editor of the UC Irvine Law Review. During law school, Mahmoud externed for the Honorable Richard M. Aronson, California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division Three. Mahmoud graduated summa cum laude from Chapman University with a B.A. in psychology.

Mahmoud is also actively involved in the Orange County community.  She is on the Board of Directors for the Public Law Center and for the Federal Bar Association, Orange County Chapter.  She is also a Women for Girls, Girls. Inc. of Orange County member, and a prior president of the UCI Law Alumni Association.
