Brett Korte


Clinical Fellow, Environmental Law Clinic


Brett joined the Environmental Law Clinic in March 2018. He helps supervise student attorneys representing public interest groups in a variety of environmental law matters, including issues relating to environmental justice, land use, and water pollution. Previously, he was a Staff Attorney and the Director of Professional Education at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, D.C., where his research and policy work focused on environmental justice, sustainability, and natural resource management. Brett has a B.A from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his J.D. and a Certificate of Specialization in Environmental Law from Tulane University Law School in 2014 where he was a student attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic and chaired Tulane Environmental Law Society’s 2013 Summit on Environmental Law and Policy. Brett is a member of the State Bar of California, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Missouri Bar.
