Jason Grimm

Environmental Law Scholar – Class of 2023

Jason graduated from the University of California, Irvine School of Law as a member of the Class of 2023. Through his practice of environmental law, Jason aims to protect the environment and the people that depend on it. During his law school summers, he worked at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked to enforce environmental laws and regulations. In the fall semester of his third year of law school, he participated in the UCDC Law program and worked as a law clerk for the United States Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, Environmental Enforcement Section in Washington, D.C.  During five of his six law school semesters, he volunteered as a member of UCI Law’s Coastal Policy Research pro bono team, which won the Surfrider Foundation’s 2022 Distinguished Legal Service Wavemaker Award. Prior to law school, Jason graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in environmental chemistry and worked as an environmental consultant. He enjoys hiking in national parks, European soccer, blacksmithing, and baking in his free time.
