  • 2L Transcripts: If you are a 2L and have not picked up CDO complementaryry copies of your official transcript, please come by and do so! 
  • LinkedIn GroupThe CDO is now on LinkedIn! We have a group on the law school LinkedIn page dedicated to sharing networking opportunities, bar association invitations, and legal market news. This group is ONLY for current students, and the best place to learn about upcoming opportunities. Join here
  • Fall Interview Program: The 2016 Fall Interview Program is underway on Symplicity. Employers will schedule interviews with qualified candidates at UCI Law, by phone/skype, or at employer offices throughout September and October. You can access the session through the OCI module on the left side of your screen, and then select the "UCI Law 2016 Fall Interview Program" from the Session dropdown menu. Some upcoming deadlines include: 
    • Los Angeles County Public Defender (Los Angeles, CA) - Wednesday, Oct. 12th
    • Public Counsel (Los Angeles, CA) - Friday, Oct. 14th
    • Bush Gottlieb (Glendale, CA) - Friday, Oct. 14th                                              ...and many more!
CDO Workshops
  • Ask CDO and APALSA - 1L Summer Jobs: October 6 (Thursday), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, Courtyard. The CDO and APALSA have partnered up to answer questions about 1L summer employment. Ask 2Ls, 3Ls, and CDO counselors about judicial, government, public interest, and private sector jobs at this informal fair in the Courtyard. Help us help you find the right fit for your interests and career goals!  Pizza will be provided. 
  • Resume and Cover Letter Workshop: October 7 (Friday). This program is mandatory for 1Ls.

  • OCAABA In-House Committee Path to In-House Speaker Panel: October 19 (Wednesday), 4:30pm-6:00pm, LAW 3750. The Orange County Asian American Association In-House Committee will invites members to a speaker panel on the many paths to becoming an in-house attorney. After the speaker panel, students will have the opportunity to meet and network with the attorneys. This event is open to everyone. Refreshments will be provided. 
  • The Tax Institute at H&R Block Speaking Engagement: October 24 (Monday), 11:30am - 12:30pm, MPAA 120. The Tax Institute at H&R Block will be hiring multiple Tax Researchers for the upcoming tax season. H&R Block will be promoting opportunities with their company at this event.   • Writing Your Federal Resume: October 24 (Monday), 3:00pm-4:30pm, Online Presentation. This presentation explains each section of the Job Opportunity Announcement (JOA) in an effort to better inform applicants and to assist them in selecting the right job.
