  • LinkedIn GroupThe CDO is now on LinkedIn! We have a new group on the law school LinkedIn page dedicated to sharing networking opportunities, bar association invitations, and legal market news. This group is ONLY for current students, and the best place to learn about the most recent happening. Join here
  • Fall Interview Program: We are pleased to announce the launch of the 2016 Fall Interview Program! Government, Public Interest, and Private Practice employers are ready to receive application materials on Symplicity.  Employers will schedule interviews with qualified candidates at UCI Law, by phone/skype, or at employer offices throughout September and October. You can access the session through the OCI module on the left side of your screen, and then select the "UCI Law 2016 Fall Interview Program" from the Session dropdown menu.
  • Summer Survey: Did you love your summer job? Are you willing to talk to fellow students about your experience? Complete an evaluation on Symplicity. Use the menu on the left-hand column, expand the “My Account” to add a new “Evaluation.”
CDO Workshops
  • 2L-3L Job Search Strategy Session: September 13th (Tuesday), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, LAW 3750. In this workshop, we will discuss resources and job search strategies for Summer 2017 and post-graduate employment that students can utilize for government, public interest and private sector employment. Additional topics will include: job search timelines and on-campus interview programs including the Fall Interview Program and the Spring Interview Program. Please RSVP on Symplicity.
  • U.S. Army JAG Corps Information Session: September 14th (Wednesday), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, LAW 3750. The U.S. Army JAG Corps is a diverse and broadly-skilled organization practicing law wolrdwide in a variety of practice areas, to include criminal justice, administrative and civil law, contract and fiscal law, international law, environmental law, and legal assitance. Major Robert Murdough, U.S. Army JAG Corps, will be visiting UCI Law the week of September 14 to interview applicants and this session will cover employment opportunities in the JAG Corps.

  • Equal Justice Works Conference Stipends: The EJW Conference brings together 160+ public interest employers from around the country for interviews, workshops, and networking. UCI Law has a limited budget for small travel stipends for students attending the Conference. To apply for a travel stipend, please email Tiffany Tsao at tsao@law.uci.edu by NOON on September 1st with: (a) A short statement of interest explaining your commitment to the public interest (250 words or less); (b) Your goal for the trip; (c) A list of employers/networking targets and your plan to meet them.
  • California Employment Lawyer's Association Diversity Scholarship: CELA is offering a limited number of conference scholarships for those who wish to attend CELA's upcoming seminar/conference on September 22-24 at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa. The scholarship application is available here, deadline is Monday, September 5th.
  • IP Consortium UpdateSeptember 7th (Wednesday), 4:30pm - 6:00pm, MPAA Executive Commons. Join UCI Law IP faculty & IP scholarship recipients for an update by Dean Chemerinsky on the future of IP initiatives underway at UCI Law.   • Women Lawyers of Long Beach Membership: The WLLB is a network of attorneys (mostly, but not all, women) in Long Beach. They meet on a monthly basis to host educational / MCLE events, networking events, and social events.
