  • Combination Event - Public Service Applications (answering why you want to do the work you seek) AND Skadden Fellowship Orientation: March 30 (Wednesday), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, EDU 1111. For 2Ls planning public service careers, almost every public interest, government, and fellowship application due this coming July/August/September will ask you to explain why you want to do the work you seek.  Do you have a compelling answer? This workshop is designed to expose the elements of a good response and help you to tell your story. During the first half of this program Susan Butler Plum, the Founding Director of the Skadden Fellowship Program, will present (via Skype) an inside perspective on the application process for this prestigious post-graduate fellowship. In-person attendance at this meeting is essential for all 2L students who plan to submit a post-graduate Skadden Fellowship application during September of their 3L year. Please RSVP on Symplicity as lunch will be provided.

  • Succeeding During Your Summer at a Law Firm: April 5 (Tuesday), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, MPAA 408. • 2016 Fall Early Interview Week and Fall Interview Program Strategy Session: April 8 (Friday), 12:00pm - 1:00pm, EDU 1111. The CDO strongly encourages students who plan to participate in Early Interview Week (EIW), featuring law firms, and/or the Fall Interview Program (FIP), featuring government and public interest employers, to attend this important presentation. The significant majority of FIP employers are government agencies and public interest organizations that seek to hire students for their 2L summer where they will cultivate substantive expertise and relationships that may prove beneficial for securing post-graduate employment. Please RSVP on Symplicity. Lunch will be provided.
