CDO Workshops
  • 2018 Fall EIW Rising 3L Student Panel/Brown Bag: July 24 (Tuesday), 12:00pm-1:00pm, EDU 1111. CDO will be moderating a panel presentation for those students intending to participate in 2018 Fall EIW. The panelists will include rising 3L students who participated in 2017 Fall EIW and worked as summer associates with law firms in summer 2018. The panelists will discuss tips and successful strategies for interview preparation, screening and callback interviews with firms, and post-interview communication with attorneys and recruiting coordinators.   • 2018 Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner Mock Interview Program: July 24 (Tuesday), 4:30pm-7:30pm. The Bryan Cave Women Group, Lawyers of Color and Recruiting Committee at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner will co-sponsor a Mock Interview Program in the firm’s Irvine offices. Deadline has passed.

  • UCI Law Alumni Association Summer Socials: These socials are casual gatherings for UCI Law Alumni and current students in various areas. This is an opportunity to network and see old friends.   • National Lawyers Guild - Los Angeles Student and Mentor Mixer: July 19 (Thursday), 6:00pm, La Cita in Los Angeles. This networking event is an opportunity for guild students to meet longtime guild attorneys. Free drinks will be provided. RSVP here.
  • ACLU Southern California Summer Brown Bag Schedule: June 8 through July 20 (Fridays), 12:00pm-1:00pm, Los Angeles. These brown bag trainings are meant for summer law clerks and are focused on an array of topics like Federal Immigration Law and Litigating International Human Rights in U.S. Courts. An RSVP is required each week by Thursday at noon to Brenda Smith. For more information, visit here.  
    • July 20—Taking Down the LA Sheriff’s Department (Brandon Fox)
  • Joint FBI and CIA Presentation: July 24 (Tuesday), 6:30pm-9:00pm, Orange County. This event will provide you the opportunity to hear about specific job positions and qualifications through a panel discussion with a networking time to follow.  In addition to learning about job opportunities within these agencies, you will learn about their similarities, strategic differences, and shared commitment to thwart threats to our national security. Specific location will be provided upon registration. Seating is limited and dinner will be served. RSVP here by Friday, July 20. 
  • The Attorney General's Honors Program and Summer Law Intern Program at DOJ Webinar: July 30 (Monday), 9:00am. Join the DOJ as they discuss the Attorney General's Honors Program and Summer Law Intern Program, eligibility, the application process, new updates this year, and answer your questions about the programs.   • San Diego Superior Court Brown Bag Lunch Program: July 31 (Tuesday), 12:00pm-1:00pm. This Brown Bag luncheon will be held at the San Diego Superior Court and will discuss family, probate, and juvenile divisions. Attendees need to bring a valid photo I.D. RSVP to Elexus Harris by July 16 at 8:00am with a question you would like answered.
