  • 1L Resumes: Deadline to submit the first draft of your resume is Tuesday, October 31. Send drafts to careers@law.uci.edu.  
  • 2L TranscriptsIf you are a 2L and have not picked up CDO complementary copies of your official transcript, please come by and do so! Transcripts will be shredded at the end of the semester. 
CDO Workshops
  • 1L Law Firm Diversity Applications- Lessons Learned: November 1 (Wednesday), 12:00pm-1:00pm, EDU 1131. 1L Diversity Applications to Law Firms are some of the most challenging applications to prepare. Through a series of questions to a panel of upper classman and alums we will shed light on the application process and what it takes to be successful. The program is open to any 1L interested in learning more about this path. RSVP on Symplicity.
  • In-House Counsel Career Day: November 1 (Wednesday), 6:00pm-8:00pm, Chapman Law School. The Association of Corporate Counsel of Southern California in combination with the four OC law schools is hosting a panel discussion and networking mixer for law students to learn about in-house career paths. The RSVP deadline has passed.

  • 5th Annual Public Law Center Halloween Bash: October 27 (Friday), 6:00pm-11:00pm, The Randy Higbee Gallery. This event is a great opportunity to network with young attorneys in the community, while supporting a local legal services provider. Click here to purchase $5 tickets (reduced from $50).  There are 25 subsidized tickets available to UCI Law students from the Orange County Lavender Bar Association.  Due to the limited number of subsidized tickets, please attend if you receive one.
  • Peggy Browning Fund Regional Workshop: October 30 (Monday), 12:15pm-1:15pm, UCLA Law School. This event is free for students at local law schools. There will be a panel, discussion, and reception. You will learn about PBF's paid summer fellowships and have an opportunity to network with Labor and Employment lawyers. Register by Thursday, October 26th. 
  • Orange County Asian American Bar Association Mentor and Mentee Program: Deadline October 31. The OCAABA Pipeline Committee is accepting applications for its 2017-2018 School Year mentorship program. The mentorship program includes several social events throughout the year for local OC law students to meet with local attorneys in a casual setting for mentoring opportunities.   • Prosecutors to Change the World - Fall Event Series: November 1 (Wednesday), 6:30pm-8:00pm, Loyola Law School. Prosecutors can and should be vehicles for social change. The Public Rights Project aims to spark an important conversation with this 4-part panel series. A reception will follow the panel event. For more information and to register, visit here
  • Federal Bar Association - Behind the Bench, A Inside Look at Our Federal Judges and Their Courthouse: November 7 (Tuesday), 5:15pm-7:15pm, Santa Ana. This event will be hosted by District Judges, Magistrate Judges and Bankruptcy Judges of Southern Division of the U.S. District Court, Central District of California.   • William P. Gray Legion Lex Inn of Court Meeting: November 8 (Wednesday), 5:30pm-8:30pm, Costa Mesa. This event will have a reception, dinner, and a program featuring attorney George Abbes with a focus on immigration-criminal law issues in light of executive orders impacting immigrants in the United States. We will hold a lottery for one student to attend as a guest of an Inn member for $40. If interested, email Elexus Harris by Monday, November 1st at noon.
