  • 3Ls: If you are still seeking a post-graduate position, be sure to meet with your primary counselor for a final in-person planning session. We look forward to continuing to work with you beyond graduation!

  • The Orange County Bar Association Immigration Law Section Spring Social: April 27 (Thursday), 5:30pm - 7:30pm, Santa Ana. Join Immigration Law Section members for an evening of networking and socializing. Speed mentoring will be a part of this event. Law student members are encouraged to bring resume for review.   • 2017 Sidley Austin 1L Diversity Summer Mentorship Program: Application due April 28 (Friday). Sidley Austin LLP encourages all diverse 1L students who would like to practice in law firms after graduation and who plan to spend their upcoming summer in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Washington D.C. to apply.   • Legal Research in Practice Workshop: May 12 (Friday), 9:15am - 12:15pm, MPAA 420. The Law Librarians will offer their 8th annual legal research training in preparation for summer jobs. Choose sessions based on your summer work environment. RSVP by April 30 and get a sneak-peak at the content here. For the students who will be doing transactional or international legal work this summer, you are welcome to attend but you may also want to set up an individualized training with a librarian.   • San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association Bay Area Job Fair: July 15 (Saturday), University of San Francisco. The San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association (SFIPLA) is one of the oldest and largest intellectual property law associations in the western United States. Only student members of SFIPLA can participate in the job fair. Registration deadline is April 30. For more information, visit here
  • 13th Annual Bay Area Diversity Career Fair: July 29 (Saturday), San Francisco. The Bay Area Diversity Career Fair attracts hiring representatives from the most prominent law firms, government legal departments, and nonprofit organizations. Openings are for 2L summer associate positions for summer 2018. Registration opens Monday, May 22. The deadline to register and bid is Sunday, June 18. For questions, contact Elizabeth McGriff
  • National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair: August 2 (Wednesday) - August 4 (Friday), San Francisco. National LGBT Bar Association hosts Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair to bring together the best and brightest legal minds in LGBT community. The career fair, held on the first day of conference, draws 500+ students and features 130+ recruiters. After the July 15 registration deadline, registration must be done on-site.   • Association of Business Trial Lawyers Student Membership Discount. This membership is beneficial for law students interested in business litigation. Membership benefits include networking opportunities, Young Lawyer Division events, and brown-bag lunches with the judiciary.   • 1Ls - Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton Rock Your Interviews: June 13 (Tuesday), 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Los Angeles. The Sheppard Mullin Diversity and Inclusion Committee will provide advice and information on the OCI process and give an opportunity to meet and mingle with Sheppard Mullin attorneys from multiple offices.
