Criminal Law Society: Professional Attire Clothing Drive

The Public Defender's Office wants your unwanted dress clothes! Indigent defendants are in need of business attire for trials. It is considered prejudicial to have defendants in criminal cases appear in front of a jury in prison or jail jumpsuits. In pursuit of the constitutional right to a fair trial, the public defender's office maintains a small closet of court clothing for clients. Most of the clothes are donated by public defenders themselves, but there is a need for more court-appropriate attire, especially men's dress shirts.  A donation box for clothing is available behind the front desk in the Dean's suite. Help out individuals in need and help clean out your closet! All donations are greatly appreciated!

Free Books

We have a limited number of books left after our Speaker Series/Trial Advocacy speaker event with Rick Friedman.  If you were not able to attend or able to pick up your copy of On Becoming a Trial Lawyer, please see Jennah Jones.  The books will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
