Student Organizations - Benefits of Registration

As a Registered Student Organization at UCI, your group enjoys many benefits and privileges. Student organizations are encouraged to take advantage of these services and resources. Organizations that are not recognized by the University do not have access to the majority of these benefits.

Student Life/Dean of Students

  • Advising with Director of Student Life (event planning, budgeting, constitution, etc.)
  • No rental fees when reserving space on campus
  • LawNet resources including email, website, group calendar, document sharing and more
  • Access to copier/printer on the 4th floor of MPAA
  • Participation in Student Involvement Fair (Law School and Main Campus)
  • Lockable storage cabinets on 4th floor of MPAA
  • Leadership programswith Law School and Main Campus
  • Liability insurance for events provided by the UC Office of the President

Law School AV/Facilities Support

  • Media services/equipment rental (microphones, screens, projectors, video-taping, etc.) and operator services are generally free at the Law school for law student organizations
  • Rental and set up of tables and chairs at the law school is generally free for law student organizations (charges may apply if more than 6 tables and 10 chairs are needed for an event)

Student Center & Event Services

  • No rental fees when reserving classrooms, lecture halls, Aldrich Park, Ring Mall, building plazas and other campus conference rooms and facilities (although rent for most of these spaces is free, all groups are required to pay for extra services, equipment and labor costs)
  • Onsite equipment rentals are available but come with charges (tables, chairs, projectors, sound systems, etc.)

Associated Students UCI (ASUCI)

  • Financial accounts and banking services
  • Student Center marquee reservations

Bren Events Center

  • Main arena, conference rooms
  • Bren Events Center marquee

Campus Recreation

  • Intramural sports activities
  • Sports equipment rental
  • Crawford Hall / Field
  • Recognition of sports-related organizations
  • Facility requests (ARC fields, ARC pool, main gym, back court gym, tennis courts, roller rink, team room, sports studio, activity annex, physical forum)
