Courses of Interest to Law Students

The following are courses offered by other departments at UC Irvine that may be of interest to law students.

To receive law degree credit for non-law coursework, law students must receive permission from the Law Dean of Students. Permission is granted via completion of a UCI Law Academic Rules petition (PDF). Petitions must be approved during the two-week law enrollment adjustment period at the beginning of the semester.

NOTE:

  • Quarter units are 2/3 the unit value of semester units.
  • Law students enrolled in quarter courses must meet the University grading requirements for graduate students to receive unit credit for courses offered/taken  for credit only S/SU.
