UCI Law's Pre-Law Outreach Program launched in the summer of 2010 and met on six Saturdays in June and July.

Class 1 - June 19, 2010
- Welcome by Dean Erwin Chemerinsky
- 9:15 a.m. Panel of Inspirational Lawyers & Q&A, moderated by Dean Chemerinsky:

- 11 a.m. Overview of law school admissions. Rebecca Houck of Kaplan discusses the timetable for applying to law school; components of an application; U.S. News and other law school rankings and summaries; choosing where to apply.

Class 2 - June 26, 2010
- 9 a.m. Discussion of personal statement and letters of recommendation — Anthony Solana Jr., For People of Color
- 10 a.m. Panel of law students. Five members of the UCI Law Inaugural Class discuss their paths to law school, the admissions process and how they decided on topics for personal & diversity statements.
- 11:15 a.m. Review of case reading/briefing assignment - Prof. Christopher Leslie
- 12:15 p.m. Next assignment for students: personal statement and reading for Negotiation assignment, explained by Prof. Carrie Hempel
Class 3 - July 10, 2010
- 9 a.m. Financial aid discussion - Nasreen Zia, UCI Law Financial Aid Director
- 10 a.m. Instruction on negotiation — Prof. Grace Tonner
- 11 a.m. Negotiation exercise, supervised by four UCI Law students
- Noon. Next assignment for students: mock oral argument, explained by Dean Chemerinsky
Class 4 — July 17, 2010
- 9 a.m. Mock oral arguments conducted and judged by UCI Law students
- 10:15 a.m. Demonstration of oral advocacy with two UCI Law students arguing, and three others serving as appellate judges
- 11 a.m. Prof. Mario Barnes speaks to students about diversity in law school and tips for succeeding in law school
- Noon. Review personal statements, discuss common problems, students get personal statements returned with comments
- 12:25 p.m. Next assignment for students: Re-write personal statement, explained by Pre-Law Outreach Coordinator Anna Davis
Class 5 — July 24, 2010
- 9 a.m. Law Library tour and instruction on library research - UCI Law Librarians
- 10:45 a.m. Resume workshop — UCI Law Dean of Students and Career Development Director Liz Schroeder
- 11:45 a.m. Next assignment for students: Draft of resume, explained by Prof. Carrie Hempel
