Establishing Equity in Our Food System

UC Irvine School of Law and the University of California Global Food Initiative hosted a symposium to discuss the current inequitable food system that disproportionately burdens the poor and marginalized with its costs and failings. Keynote speakers at the two-day symposium were Saru Jayaraman, Director, Food Labor Research Center at UC Berkeley, and José Padilla, Executive Director, San Francisco Administrative Office, California Rural Legal Assistance.
