UCI Law News December 2015

A quarterly newsletter to keep members of the UCI Law community connected

A Note from Erwin

Dear friends,

2015 was a remarkable year for UC Irvine School of Law, as we hired terrific new faculty, expanded the size of our student body, and created wonderful new programs. We received impressive recognition, such as having our faculty ranked sixth in the country in scholarly impact (behind Yale, Harvard, University of Chicago, NYU and Stanford), our clinical programs ranked 11th-best in the nation, and UCI Law debuting in U.S. News & World Report at No. 30, by far the highest ever for a new law school.

As 2015 comes to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your tremendous support of UC Irvine School of Law. I am so proud of all that we have accomplished together in making the Law School a place of excellence in teaching, scholarship and public service. The milestones we have reached and the accolades we have earned are possible only because of our dedicated supporters. Gifts of time, expertise and resources allow us to create and sustain excellent programs, recruit and retain first-class faculty, and provide an environment in which all students can succeed and grow. Gifts to our annual giving program are especially helpful as the UCI Law Fund supports our areas of greatest need, including financial aid, summer stipends, library resources, technology updates and much more.

Again, thank you for being part of our community.

With my best wishes for a new year filled with happiness, good health and peace,
