Melody Lembke
Associate Law Librarian for Technical Services

What excites you most about joining the UCI Law Library?
Seldom does one have the opportunity to help create a new law school and law library. Even more exciting, the challenge is to build a unique and innovative law library that matches the high aspirations of the law school to be a top 20 institution.

What would you like to accomplish during the first years at UCI Law?
Librarians connect patrons to the information they need. I want to be part of a staff that provides that connection as expeditiously as possible regardless of sources, but since this is a 21st century law library, there is a high probability that the sources will be electronic. I’m an expert at what I do, but always love to try out the latest and best ways to make improvements. The data about legal materials that I and my staff provide must meet and exceed the research needs of the faculty, staff and students. Innovative curriculum, innovative faculty, innovative library!
