Prof. Zinner teaches and supervises students in assisting homeowners through UCI Law's Consumer Protection Clinic, established to help the California Monitor enforce a $25 billion national mortgage settlement. Before joining the California Monitor Program, Prof. Zinner was a staff attorney at Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA), a non-profit legal services organization in Oakland. At HERA, his work involved civil litigation and advocacy on behalf of California homeowners in the area of predatory mortgage lending and foreclosure prevention.
Prof. Zinner received his J.D. from University of California Berkeley School of Law in 2006. After graduating, he received an Equal Justice Works Fellowship to work on homeownership preservation issues in the San Francisco Bay Area.
