Media defense lawyer, solo practice

Background:

Susan Seager is media defense lawyer and journalist. She has a Los Angeles solo practice defending against claims and lawsuits for defamation, privacy, right of publicity, and gives pre-publication advice to book authors, artists, and writers. She worked as media defense litigator for Davis Wright Tremaine in Los Angeles from 1999-2007 and as a vice president in the litigation department of Fox Entertainment Group, where she worked for National Geographic Channel, Fox Television Stations, FX, and Fox Sports from 2007-2016.

She earned her law degree from Yale Law School as the mother of two small children. Before attending law school, she worked as a journalist for the LA Weekly, LA Daily Journal, Los Angeles Herald Examiner, and United Press International. She currently writes about First Amendment issues for TheWrap in Los Angeles.
