Patricia Cyr

Background:

Patricia Cyr previously served as a special education attorney, and appeared in district court and administrative hearings on behalf of families seeking to enforce the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. She has managed and mentored junior associates, summer associates and support staff in her past litigation associate position. She participated in the Family Advocacy Clinic during her third year at Georgetown University Law Center, and served as a staff attorney upon graduation.  

Cyr has been involved in several pro bono projects that included custody petition and research on parental involvement under No Child Left Behind. She served as a Judicial Clerk for Judge Stanley F. Birch; as Secretary, President, and Advisor of the National Collegiate Conference Association, and as Program Coordinator and Research Assistant at Georgetown University Law Center for the Americas Program. She has done extensive work in regards to mock trial, including participating in several mock trials in law school, coaching a high school mock trial team, and serving as a Mock Trial Team Coach for Emory University Law School. At Georgetown Law, she also served as the Senior Editor of the journal Law and Policy in International Business. More background information (PDF).
