Author and TEDx speaker Joelle Casteix is one of the nation’s leading advocates for survivors of child sexual abuse and a top expert on the institutional cover-up of sex crimes.

A former journalist, educator, and public relations professional, Joelle has taken her own experience as a victim of child sexual assault and devoted her career to exposing abuse, advocating on behalf of survivors, and spreading abuse prevention strategies for parents and communities. Joelle has worked with nonprofits, universities, state and local governments, law enforcement, parents, and communities to help victims, educate families, and uncover crimes. Her expertise includes an in-depth understanding and recognition of patterns of abuse, predatory grooming, abuse prevention, and institutional disregard.
