Former South African Justice Albert “Albie” Louis SachsHuman rights activist Justice Albie Sachs returns to UCI Law for a special guest lecture. Justice Sachs was instrumental in building South Africa's constitutional democracy, surviving a car bomb attack and living in exile while working toward that goal. His dedication to equal rights was epitomized in 2005, when he authored the Constitutional Court's holding when the court overthrew South Africa's statute defining marriage to be between one man and one woman.
