| | UC Irvine School of Law Receives Full ABA Accreditation |

Friends and Supporters of UCI Law School,
I
am thrilled to report that today the ABA Council on Legal Education approved
the full accreditation of University of California, Irvine School of Law.
It is effective immediately.
This
is a wonderful milestone for our Law School and it is the result of the
tremendous hard work of all of our faculty, administrators, staff, students,
and alumni over these last six years. It reflects the great support we
have received from Chancellor Michael Drake and Provosts Michael Gottfredson,
Sue Bryant, and Howard Gillman. It also reflects the incredible
assistance we have received from our donors and supporters who have guided us
and helped us enormously at every step of the way. We are very grateful!
Together,
we are creating a very special law school and I feel so honored to be a part of
it.

Erwin,
I write to report
briefly that the Council at its meeting on June 6, 2014 accepted the
recommendation of the Accreditation Committee and approved a motion to grant
full approval and accreditation to the University of California Irvine School
of Law.
A formal letter will
follow, of course, but this approval is effective today - June 6.
Thanks to you and
Provost Gillman for appearing before the Council and answering its questions.
Congratulations to you and your colleagues on this
accomplishment. On behalf of the Council, continuing best wishes for
the school’s success.
