Office of Communications and Public Affairs
The Office of Communications and Public Affairs handles issues for the law school pertaining to media inquiries, photo requests, communications, web sites and social networking, publications, public relations, marketing, promotions, merchandise, signage, branding and graphic identity.
Rex Bossert, assistant dean for communications and public affairs, was the editor-in-chief of The National Law Journal in New York from 2004 to 2008, during which time he revamped the web site, redirected the editorial focus to include more coverage of law firms and law schools, and doubled the reporting staff, establishing bureaus in Chicago, Detroit, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami. Before that he served as the managing editor of the New York Law Journal, associate editor of The National Law Journal, and federal courts reporter for the Daily Journal in San Francisco. Born in Minneapolis, Bossert earned a B.A. in English from Carleton College, a J.D. from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in English from Stanford University.

Iris Yokoi, web editor, is a 20-year veteran reporter and editor at various Southern California newspapers, including The Orange County Register, Long Beach Press-Telegram and The Los Angeles Times. Highlights of those years include reporting on the rebuilding efforts in central Los Angeles after the 1992 riots; directing coverage of the dynamic Vietnamese-American community of Orange County; and leading the launch and development of an entertainment/lifestyle web site, SqueezeOC.com. The Southern California native is a graduate of Pepperdine University.
