Participating Employers
UCI School of Law will host formal on-campus interviewing sessions for 1Ls in Spring 2010 and for 2Ls in Fall 2010, providing employers and students an organized and efficient way to meet.
As of July 2009, more than 70 employers have committed themselves to participating in on-campus interviews. These employers include national and local private firms, non-profit public-interest organizations, and federal, state and local government agencies.
Thanks go to all of these "founding employers" for believing in the UCI Law School vision and agreeing to meet our students in 2010.
There is still time to join the growing list of "founding employers" participating in our first round of on-campus interviews. Please contact Elizabeth Schroeder, Director of Career Development, at (949) 824-1887 or lschroeder@law.uci.edu
Legal Employers Participating in On-Campus Interviews in 2010

“We don’t usually participate in
on-campus interviews. We’re fortunate to get over 120 applications for two to three summer positions each year without visiting campuses. However, to support Dean Chemerinsky, and the students drawn to his vision for the new law school, we will participate in UC Irvine School of Law’s program!”
Syd Whalley
Executive Director
Western Center on Law & Poverty
“I was convinced
from my very first meetings with local attorneys and business leaders that something uniquely wonderful is happening at UC Irvine, and that everything in my career leads to this ideal union between the academic and professional communities. Our core volunteers made the difference in persuading the university, government officials and the bar that a new, very ambitious law school belongs here. And now they are providing the energy, expertise and financial resources to launch us into the top tier of American law schools. There is no more exciting prospect for me than this collaboration.”
Charles Cannon
Assistant Dean of Development and External Affairs
UC Irvine School of Law
“It’s extraordinarily exciting
to have a new, top–tier law school in our community focused on public service and access to justice – we’re truly looking forward to participating in its development and, ultimately, to working with its students and graduates!”
