Native American Law Students Association

The mission of the Native American Law Students Association is to gather Indigenous students and allies to create community; discuss Indigenous socio-legal issues and ongoing affairs; emphasize the study of tribal and federal Indian law and the effect of law on Indigenous communities; promote Indigenous wellness; recruit Indigenous students and faculty; and provide volunteer and service opportunities in support of Indigenous communities.

Indigenous refers to any of the original peoples of North America, South America, and Oceania. We emphatically disavow the use of blood quantum, which is a tool of genocide, as a measure of indigeneity, instead emphasizing community, family, and tribal affiliation, and values. NALSA is open to Indigenous students and allies.

NALSA is a pending chapter of the National Native American Law Students Association.
