WHAT HAPPENS TO MY LOGIN ACCOUNTS AFTER I GRADUATE?

Law ID

The following services offered through the Law School require your LawID to authenticate:

  • Law School Intranet - password protected information on the website
  • Law School VPN

After graduation, your Law ID account will remain active until August 1 of the year that you graduate.  In other words, if you graduate May 2015, your Law ID account will remain active until August 1, 2015.  After August 1, you will not be able to login using this account.

What happens to my access to the services after August 1?

  • Law School Intranet – Password protected information on the website and all of the content on the intranet are limited to enrolled students.
  • Law School VPN – You will no longer have access to the VPN and will no longer be able to remotely access UCI electronic library resources.

LawNet Google ID

The LawNet Google ID is used to access your LawNet email, as well as the other related services within LawNet Google such as calendaring, Google+, Google Docs, etc.

Will I continue to have my lawnet.uci.edu email address after graduation?
Yes, you will have your @lawnet.uci.edu email address for life.

I forgot my LawNet password.  How do I reset it?
You do not need to come to the Law School to reset your password. To reset your password you must contact the Director of Alumni Relations (see page 11), who will confirm your identity.  Once confirmed, the Director will contact IT to reset the password.

UCINetID

The following service offered through the Law School requires your UCINetID to authenticate:

  • Law School Printing – WEPA print stations

Alumni retain their current UCINetID indefinitely for use in accessing UCI services. Be aware that you must reset your UCINetID password annually. Failure to reset the password on an annual basis will lead to your UCINetID being deactivated. You will need to reactivate your UCINetID if you’d like to use it again.

Your UCINetID also provides continued access to the Registrar's StudentAccess service so that you can retrieve your grades and transcripts in the future.
