What excites you most about joining the new law school administration?
I am very excited about being one of the building blocks of a team embarking on an exciting goal. Enjoying sports as I do, the best analogy I can draw upon is that the UC Irvine Law School is like a new sports franchise. The management, staff and team personnel possess excellent credentials and stellar professional records and the financial and community support is in place. Now it will be the role of the students to learn and, in time, perform at a level that will bring success to themselves and honor to the University.
Not often in life is an individual offered a ground-floor opportunity to be a part of something of this magnitude. I embrace it and look forward to working with so many talented and capable people to build this school’s future.
What are you most excited about doing in the first years of the law school?
To be part of a management team that has a shared vision of establishing a world-class law school is very exciting. The administrative goal will be the installation and maintenance of an outstanding administrative framework that will support the efforts of Dean Chemerinsky and his faculty. The job we do to establish these systems and processes will pay lasting dividends to the School of Law and the University of California, Irvine.
