Linda Puertas

What excites you most about joining the UC Irvine School of Law?
UCI Law School is a unique community, in that it attracts faculty who are not only interested in their research, but also in providing excellent instruction in the traditional classroom setting and through experiential learning opportunities. I am excited about working with this innovative group of scholars and lawyers to develop a robust academic skills program that helps mold public interest-minded students into effective advocates.

Describe a highlight of your career.
I will never forget the the joy I felt when I participated in the graduation ceremony for the first group of students I taught at USC Law. That feeling has only been trumped by finding those same students' names on the bar exam pass list the following November. I look forward to this feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction every May – and again in November – knowing that I have helped law students on their journey to become great lawyers.
